It’s been a busy winter and we were ready for a Spring trip.  Armed with fresh knowledge that Parker was about to get a little sister (we had an ultrasound Thursday), we woke up bright and early and headed to the coast for the weekend.  First stop, the Children’s Museum of SC.  Parked had fun exploring the museum.  Next was a stop at the Sea Captain’s House for lunch.  After lunch, we walked out onto the beach.  It was a little cool and windy, but Parker loved running up to the water and running back.  Then we headed to Chelsey Lake to rest a little.  Jay and Parker took a short paddle in Jay’s old jon boat while Kristie relaxed (or as much as she could worrying about her little tot out on the water).  Saturday morning began with a trip to the Trestle in Conway for breakfast.  Parker enjoyed the french toast and even got to meet Jay’s old roommate’s son Charley along with Charley’s parents Chuck and Susan.  We left the Trestle, stopped off to get Parker some new shoes and then headed for the beach.  It was a beautiful day.  Parker enjoyed digging in the sand and especially liked jumping waves in the cold ocean.  Sunday was started off with Parker and Jay paddling Kristie around the lake.  We then packed things up and headed back to Columbia.
