While this blog has been primarily dedicated to stories about what Parker has been up to, we wanted to add a story about another family member.  Parker’s G-Daddy was honored with a portrait unveiling by the Horry County Bar Association.  It was a really nice evening highlighted by several of his colleagues speaking of his career and how much he had meant to them, swapping stories about working with him, and his professional traits that inspired them.  After the speakers, Catherine and Jay removed the veil to reveal the portrait.  We capped off the evening with a nice dinner.

The next day, we went to the courthouse to hang the portrait.  So if you ever find yourself in the Horry County courthouse, stop by courtroom 3C and you will see the likeness of J. Stanton Cross, Jr. gracing the walls.  Quite an honor and a very touching and memorable event for all of us involved.
